happy halloween

I promise I will soon be off the Bellbuckle Tennessee subject!  These are pictures of Halloween ~ Phillips' General Store style.... which has a lot of style!  I actually held myself back from applauding Billy at this year's window displays although I did tell him.  He is seriously awesome!  I am also including previous years just for that added creepiness!

I think this is my favorite picture of all of them.  I love the skull in the top hat!

We love you Phillips' General Store!!!
Find them on facebook HERE!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Phillips General Store

More pics from Bellbuckle last weekend.  As I have said before, Phillips General Store is my favorite spot in Bellbuckle.  I could literally walk around in there for hours and see something new each trip around the store.  I take lots of pictures inside this store.  The items don't seemed cramped even though they are many.  Some stores just seem junky.  The owner, Billy, has got such an eye for decorating and placement of each item in such a cool and collective way that each area flows together perfectly.  Some of my pictures came out a touch blurry but I am going to share them anyway.

I have always thought chenille and Jesus go hand in hand.

Yeah... creepy baby doll!

I really liked this wall of frames and mirrors.

I remember this Jaws game!

And outside (just for the craft fair)

I had a cash register just like this!

By the way... Phillips General Store's Christmas open house is November 22, 23 & 24th.
He has the most beautiful taste in vintage and antique decorating... especially at Christmas.
I hope you can find the time to take a drive down and browse around!  The cafe is not bad either!

Bellbuckle 2012

What a gorgeous day to have spent craft-fairing in Bellbuckle, Tennessee this past Saturday!  This is an annual trip that various members of my family have been making for years upon years.  And this year, although I didn't buy much, proved to have plenty to go around.  And by plenty I do mean the kettle crack corn!  And I don't care!

We stopped by our favorite Phillip's General Store.  I got to eat turnip greens, white beans and cornbread from my favorite food booth.  We saw familiar booths, racked up on ideas and made sure to stay away from tacky ribbon.  Five of us went and five of us came home with our bellies full our feet tired.  Well worth it... yet again.
