bellbuckle tn craft fair

As you may or may not know... the annual BellBuckle craft fair is this weekend.  This year (so far) there are eight of us going in two vehicles.  I am so super excited... I've changed my mental outfit three times.  Goodness knows what I will end up wearing that morning.  We are due to have perfect weather starting out a little cool then warming up with partly sunny skies to around seventy degrees.  My sister and I figured that we have been in attendance, apart for maybe one or two years, at the craft fair for at least twenty six years... maybe more.  I know we were going when I was a teenager and, with me turning forty one this Saturday (yyyaaahhh!), that was a good twenty five years ago.  Needless to say... we are pros.  I have my list ready to go of things to look for so I possibly don't come home with only a picture of something I want.  I've got my taste buds all warmed up for the turnip greens and white beans from my favorite food booth.  We already pretty much know where we will park... all we have to do is get Aunt Dea here from Florida and pick up Granny... both of whom are newbies to the BellBuckle TN craft fair.  If you are too I suggest you look it up and head there this Saturday.  It is loads of fun to trot from booth to booth and get lemonade and kettle corn and see what new holiday trends are.... the works I tell ya!!!

Here are pictures form last year of just how much fun we have!

What can I say?  She loves a good clean port-o-john!

Weekend Adventures: Bellbuckle 2013

You had to have known this was coming!  We had an awesome trip to Bellbuckle Tennessee to the huge craft fair put on my the Webb School.  Some of it put on by the Webb School and over the years it has overflown into including the entire town and we love it!  There were tons and tons of booths.  We mainly stick to the junky ones and boy did we find a new fave!  I had my usual turnip greens and white beans just as soon as I could get to them.  We had wonderful weather.
I'm just going to hush and let the pictures say it for me.

I love to take tons of pictures so I can go back and look at them later to notice things I overlooked then.  Oh and for the lovely Bellbuckle memories!  Seven of us went this year in two cars.  I think I can speak for us all in saying what a great time we had!

BellBuckle is Here!

Want a great weekend adventure?  Why not tote-cha-self to BellBuckle Tenneessee this weekend, October 19th & 20th, for the annual Webb School craft fair!  This is an event that we Do Not Miss in my family!  Some of us that is, have been going to this shindig for simply years upon years.

Here's some pics from previous years to get you in the mood.  I will recommend, number one, going... and number two, being prepared!  My recommendations on the latter includes wearing comfortable shoes, being prepared for the weather, toting a good sized light weight bag for goodies, not locking your keys in your car, scoping out the rarely used port-o-johns, getting there early, and hitting up the family that sells turnip greens, white beans and cornbread.  You will not regret it I promise!  Oh and bring a friend.  That way someone can keep up with you!

I am generally pretty hyped up on the ride there.
