Are you ready? This is a jammed lovin right now! I just couldn't stop. I probably could have added more. I love sharing things that are just ticklin my fancy with you. Yea... AND on a Monday! So here goes...
OK let's start with the Nivea Crème. I am hooked. I have had some pretty rough skin issues over the last ten years and while I don't complain right now because it's not as bad currently as it has been in recent years I still deal with it daily. I started out by buying the little purse sized (navy blue) Nivea crème at Kroger because it was one dollar and I thought I'd try it. I put it on my spots, as I call them, when they were at their driest. It really did seem to nourish and keep them from being painful. So when I ran out of my other lotion I bought the Nivea Crème Soft at the Kroger two weeks ago. My, my, my soft skin! I'm in love with this lotion and kinda regret ordering my other kind that's not here yet. Believe me, with my psoriasis/eczema/like skin issues, I have tried LOTS of lotions and creams. So when I come across one that works, even for a little while, I pass it on to other possible sufferers. Ok.. gross I know... but sometimes the skin in my eye brows freaks out and gets REALLY dry and bad flaky. I lather this stuff on a couple of times and it clears up. Even without using my steroid cream. NICE!
Ah Kacey Musgraves. My niece took me to her concert two weeks ago. I already was a fan of KM's music but seeing her in concert was the bomb. While there I bought two shirts (sucker!) and I bet I have worn the one pictured here ten times since then. It fits me perfect and I love the song Die Fun by Kacey. It reminds me of Shaun and I... pretty much being able to do what we want to (but still work and be responsible).
Another suggestion from my niece, Lacey, upon searching for a 2016 day planner. She is a big Lilly Pulitzer girl and buys herself this planner each year. Since I couldn't get the one I wanted I got this one above from Amazondotcom. I do like it a lot and know I will fill it with many plans and memories because most of the time I write more about what we did than what we're going to do.
Several Fridays ago, I phoned Shaun to tell him I was thinking of going to the grocery after work and he coaxed me into just coming home and taking it easy after a long week. When I got there that Mister of mine had a little surprise for me! A Yeti koozie of my vary own. They keep the last drop of your canned beverage just as cold as your first drop! For real! If they last that long.
While I had too much time to kill between dentist appointments when I was having problems, I stopped in Bath and Body Works briefly and bought a few new things. One of them was a purse sized Iced Coconut Colada body spray. I adore the scent and carry it with me always and keep one in the bathroom at home. I love the coconut beachy smell of it and know I will this winter when I'm down in the mouth because summer seems so far away. I will just spray it and inhale with my eyes closed!
Last but certainly not least... we found the problem with our internet GB usage. Yes... it was me, but it was mainly that my internet USB needed an upgrade. So my smart husband got me one from Verizon, which is who we use for internet access and now all of our troubles have gone! This past month I downloaded two games, got back to blogging, chatted with friends via FB, ordered a few things and for sure cruised my blogs. I even looked up kids stuff and crafty ideas! All that would have eaten our old GB up in a week. Thank goodness for upgrades! No more overage! Who'd have thought that that's what we needed. We were already preparing our pockets for a new computer which I now do not need!! YAY! I love my old little laptop.

AAAAHHHH Loving right now. As I type at my kitchen table that my Granddaddy built for me, all I have to do to see what I am lovin right now is look towards my right into my kitchen.
I bought a new skillet the other day. I am one gal who can flat wear out a skillet in a matter of months. Mom says it may be because of cooking at too high a temperature :) or maybe it's just because I use them every single morning and clean them afterwards. I have always had Teflon skillets and I'm pretty sure we digested some Teflon before I got rid of my last ones! Shaun and I were in the skillet aisle at WalMart and he pointed out the ceramic ones. I read about one or two and decided to give one a whirl. So far I adore it! Nothing has stuck. I've made sausage, bacon, gravy, browned deer meat. It's actually 12 inches and I have browned sausage and fried eggs at the same time! If you are in the market for a new skillet yourself, I absolutely urge you to give a ceramic one a try.
Ah my rye bread, seeded. I love caraway seeds and actually am going to grow some on the herb wall this summer. When I bake my own bread using caraway it transforms the smell and feel of my home in a beautiful way. I really like having Pepperidge Farms Jewish Rye on hand too. I like it plain (and by plain I mean I stand at the counter and eat a piece with nothing on it!) or toasted with lettuces and tuna salad or toasted and used for sopping up tomato sauce.
I am utterly hooked on avocados right now. Just plain old, peeled and sliced avocado. And they are so good for you too. I made a black bean soup last Monday and had diced avocado on the side. YUM!
True story.... Saturday morning I did about 40 minutes worth of yoga and then felt the urge to take it to the treadmill in the basement for a gentle walk. Between practices and during my walk all I could think about were these chips. Devil on the left shoulder saying "Laurie.... some of those jalapeno chips would sure be good right now". the whole time. So.. what did I do as soon as my workout was over? Finished off the open bag of chips. Yeah... I'm really gonna last through the 108 day yoga program... NOT! I am too weak. Especially with a bag of these chips around. The label says that they are "HOT!" but I have a soft spot when it comes to hot and these don't rate real high on my hot rating. Addictive rating... now that's a different story!
There is seriously nothing like stealing a good hour alone, lighting a candle and a stick of incense, rolling out my yoga mat in the living room floor and popping in the Gentle Yoga dvd of my Travis Eliot Ultimate Yogi set. I feel refreshed both mentally and physically and sometimes a little sore... in a good way. It is a great way to begin my day or end my day.
I adore all of my shirts purchased from the talented James of Skyline Fever (I like the unisex sided tees... they cover the toosh well), Danskin yoga capris from WalMart, incense of just about any variety, the Ultimate Yogi collection and of course an entire hour of just me finding my balance of thoughts, strength and composure.
Note: the link to the Ultimate Yogi is the only one currently on Amazon and is expensive. I'd try ebay maybe if you are interested. Or just hold out for a cheaper one. It's worth it if you are up to it.
I am also lovin this recipe for overnight breakfast oatmeal right now. Oh my... do I ever!
A pictorial list of things I am "lovin right now." Blue Diamond roasted salted almonds are salty enough to make me crave them at seven in the morning with my... dash of cinnamon in my early morning coffee that's already flavored with vanilla creamer. I am on my third Skyline Fever tee. I have Dylan, Sea Song and now Live by the Moon. Unisex sizing is my favorite in a medium. I wear them all day and sleep in them all night. Currently craving the Janis and Fleetwood tees. I pair them with my ebay ordered, used and slightly broken in American Eagle Artist fit jeans of which I am between sizes meaning the four is too small and the six is too big, both in a long cut, but loving them anyway. I call the four sassy and the six comfortable. My OPI Russian Navy is the color on my toes that I crave when any other color is painted there. It may have been featured in a previous "loving right now" post but remains a favorite. I am also lovin my hobby of browsing certain favorite blogs online, copying and pasting favorite pictures and then gluing and taping them into my journal. I have begun my second modge podged, composition journal called "inspiration journal 2". The pages are already filling with dreamy pics, recipes and thoughts. I love to look back on what I was "lovin right now" at the time. My current favorite blog is FromMoontoMoon.
Eek!! I love when it's not hard to come up with four or five things that I am "lovin right now"!
For starters with this lovely list, I got the hankering for light blue toe nail polish. I am usually a navy blue kind of gal... Russian Navy by O.P.I. to be exact, but a stop by Walgreens and a $1.99 bottle of polish was worth a try. It turns out that I am fond of this color although it still surprises me when I look down.
Calamity Jane is a fantastic musical that has got me singing! I especially love the part where Calamity and Katie fix up her cabin. Such a super movie!
Glamping by MaryJane Butters has got me spinning and all geared up and inspired for our camping trip. The more I look at this book the more I jot notes in my spiral on special touches and things to take.
Oh She Glows Glo Bars! I checked out the Oh She Glows cookbook from the library a month or so ago and had to make these bars. They are so simple and delicious. I have made them a couple of different ways. The only hard part was locating brown rice syrup. I found it at out health food shop in White House.

I really enjoy putting together "lovin right now". I know when I am lovin change quite often but doesn't it for everyone? We don't like the same things all the time and I am thankful for change. Each one of these items was inspired by someone else. So I am going to try and share where the inspiration came from for each.

1 my new favorite hat that I bought at Kmart last weekend. I wear it all the time now when outside. It is light weight, comfortable and sort of has a wired brim that will stay when adjusted.My inspiration has come from several places but mainly from a blog I follow of a gal who wears hats. I like the ones made of wool but know they would be too hot this time of year... plus they can be high priced. Her blog is Roots and Feathers
2 My friend Jennifer shared a couple of food blogs with me that her daughter really likes.
Not really including a lot of sweet in my diet, but still craving mercifully, I decided to try these.

3 My hair dresser and I were talking movies several months ago and I wrote down the name of the movie Lawless at that time. I had forgotten about it until I was working on my taxes and found the piece of paper I had written the name of the movie on. I got it from the library and we watched it... twice. We really liked it. So then I got back on the music part of the library and found the Lawless soundtrack which I now really like! My two favorite songs are Fire and Brimstone and Cosmonaut. Listen to a tad on amazon.
4 Someone mentioned to Shaun that comfrey oil helped their psoriasis. Last Saturday I ventured in to the Orbit Health Food Store in Goodlettsville Plaza on my run to the library. I am also going to start yoga lessens there that I am sooo excited about! I bought the comfrey oil and have been mixing it with jojoba oil and applying it to my legs. It really does seem to be helping so far although it's only been a few days.
5 My friend Barb had favorited these earrings in a shop on Etsy. I saw them and wound up buying the turquoise ones. I wore them every day for over a week, loved them and decided to buy the dark red pair too! What a hog! The shop is called LostBirdArt. Really sweet gal!
Here's my hat and the turquoise earrings! My mp3 player is in my pocket with Lawless playing too! And trust me... there were a couple Almond Joy Bites in the fridge that day that are way gone now! Have a relaxing weekend!
1. Doc Martin - channel 8 show that I caught one evening when Shaun was snoring on the couch. I thought it was a tad bland at first but within minutes I was sucked in and watched the whole show. The next time I caught it on the same thing happened to Shaun. It has been on for several years so I looked it up at the library to start from the beginning and catch up.
2. Dots.com or Dots on Dickerson Road. I have been wearing their seven dollar, long sleeve t-shirts for a few years now. I layer with them. I just bought some a size up from what I wear just to have longer sleeves and length. Not that they run small... quite the opposite. The sleeves have always been long enough for my long arms... I just wanted longer :)
3. While waiting for my prescription of Tamiflu at Walgreens, I found these Glue Dots! The kind I bought are removable and fantastic for quick projects and when you don't want to wait for the glue to dry or if the tape stops sticking!
4. I bought this Crane frog humidifier for the day care. The slight misty fog comes out the top. I felt it could help us all during these winter months when the heat runs non-stop.
5. Saltine/peanut butter sandwiches. Y U M . Kroger saltine crackers are my favorite because they have good salt on them and Kroger creamy peanut butter is fine with me too. I'm not a brand name girl at the grocery store anyway!
Just a teeny list of things I am slightly addicted to at the moment.
Sweatshirt from Target men's department. I seriously do not want to take it off. It is so soft and warm, just long enough and just loose enough. Hard to believe it's made for a man.
Also made for men... Hanes 4 pack, v-neck tees in black and gray. I already expressed my love for the white ones, so I thought I'd get some other colors. Comfortable and relaxing.
Dots skinny jeans. I have had my pair for at least two years and never wear them... until recently. They are so comfy and hold me just right and came in at a great price.
Roasted peanuts and candy corn! I have to have a handful every night! The combination of salted peanuts and candy corn sweetness tastes like a Payday candy bar. Be sure to get the salted nuts and not be like me who was too cheap to spring for Planters nuts and had to get the lightly salted Kroger brand because that's all they had... not the same. Boo.
Movies based at holiday time. I was making ornaments last Sunday and watched The Holiday twice and The Family Stone once. It made me cry too much to watch it twice. I'm not quite ready tor Elf and A Christmas Story. Easin' right in to the season here.
truly I am not one who indulges in really expensive things. i like comfort, i like cheap, i feel i am an easy to please kind of gal. here are a few things that are rockin my world lately. the only thing that you can't find at your local super-walmart are the american eagle jeans. and mine are thrifted, used and extremely broke in. i like em like that!
i'm hooked on nerds. the funny thing is, is that they have been in a candy jar at the day care for months without me touching them and all of a sudden they are all i want!
i accidentally/kinda purposely bought the green apple chapstick at the dg for shaun. he likes the original and i thought i could pass this off cause they didn't have his kind at the register.... didn't work. lucky for me i'm now a big fan of it!
my men's department, 3 pack, v-neck, white tees. softer with every wash. made for a man but strong enough for this woman!
my jeans have holes and are a tad too tight but i some how can find used american eagle jeans at the thrift store like nobody's business and take them on through the rest of their jean existence. with love.
i am completely digging the smell of lavender/vanilla downy infusions. i washed an afghan that i bought at a yard sale that is so soft and it held on to this smell like a boss. i sat in my comfy chair last night covered up in lavender vanilla heaven. i like it on my clothes too. i even washed our sheets, blanket and bedspread in it and when i walked in the room it smelled wonderful and clean.
When I ordered my garlic from Burpee, I also threw in a packet of mixed lettuce seeds. When they got here I was surprised to see that they were actually pellets containing several kinds of lettuce seeds. I quickly popped them in to the garden at the DC and into an enamelware bowl-turned-planter on my front porch. Until now I've not grown lettuce before and I had no idea how much I would enjoy the fresh taste of homegrown lettuce. I like to pluck off a small branch just to munch on going in and out of the house. I have even put in a second planting to be ready after we use the first crop and will do it again once more. The best thing is that I can move my planted to the covered porch if a frost is predicted and I think it should still be ok. If not... lessen learned. I have enjoyed it so much I am planning on a spring crop. Oh and I have also planted spinach and turnip greens. YUM!
The spinach has so far done better in the garden at the DC rather than in the pot. Either way it may just produce a decent crop for the two of us.
My sister Tracy gave me this all-purpose cleaner as a hostess gift on Mother's Day.
The special summer scent is Tomato Vine. I love it and have never been quite this
fascinated with wiping counters and tables. It comes from Target. I went back and bought more because I was toting it back and forth from home to DC. Crazy lady.
My elephant watering can at the day care given to me by Granny.
It has the easiest stream of water that comes from the truck that doesn't damage your plants.
Personally, I think this song deserves the share. My precious and eldest niece was lovin' enough to share this song with me, so now I'm passing it on to you... my lovin' readers.
I think we have all had someone in our lives that this song points the finger right at. Luckily, at this point in my life, I don't have any neighbors that can right off see my house so these worries are out of my life for now. But I will say that I can name two right off the top of my head that fall in the category.
