dc stocking stuffers

The stocking stuffers for the day care were a bit more of a challenge this year.  I have a couple of wee ones that still put things in their mouths so I was buying for different age groups.  I got girl and boy temporary tattoos.  They have all come in wearing them in the past so I figured it was ok.  Little four wheelers for the boys and Frozen figurines for the girls.  I always include pencils and a little something sweet.  The Lemonhead candy canes seemed the best.  And that's what will be in the stockings at the dc NEXT WEEK. I can't believe Christmas is next week.  Hope I'm ready!

dc stocking stuffers

Every year, instead of trying to pick out something for each child at my day care, I make little stockings for them and fill them with fun (and cheap) small toys.  Seriously, it is easier, more cost effective and they will really be getting more than they could handle from Santa at home.  This is just a little something from Miss Laurie for them to take home.  I sew together little felt stockings for each child and they get to decorate their stockings and we all hang them up in the playroom.  at our Christmas party they get to take the filled stockings home with them.  Since I shared with you last year what was hiding in their stockings I decided to share again this year.

How much fun is that?!?!  Looks like a finale to a Christmas party if you ask me!

DC Stocking Stuffers

We are due to have our Christmas Party at the DC on Monday, since we won't be here Christmas Eve or Christmas day.. obviously or I'd probably be here by myself.  I like to get the kids a little something for Christmas from me.  This year, as you saw yesterday, I made stockings for each child and they got to decorate them so naturally the plan was to grab a few things here and there that would fit into their stockings for Christmas.  So after the pizza party and dancing to Christmas music commences we will take down the stockings and the kids get to take them home with them along with all the goodies inside!  YAY!  Here's what I got as stocking stuffers for them this year.

I LOVE these Monster Finger Puppets and they are so into monsters too!

Smarties are always a good choice of candy.

Magic Towels in super hero and princesses.  Wash cloths for home.

Motts fruit snacks... because they're a little better than candy and they love them.

Glow in the dark stars.  I plan to give each child five or six for their rooms at home.
